of the International Institute for the Sociology of Law, Spain, for presenting a paper entitled International Crime and Black Women’s Imprisonment.

Cursos DE Verano, 2002 El Escorial, Madrid, Spain.
In 1997 she received the Academic Excellence Award from First African Awards Ceremony, UK.
In 1994 she was the recipient of Black woman of the year in Law award.
Finalist of European Federation Of Black Women Business Owners (EFBWBO)
in Professional Category 2002 and in 2003 was also a finalist for Social and Humanitarian Category for EFBWBO Awards.
Ruth Chigwada-Bailey was elected a fellow of the (UK) Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufacturers & Commerce on 12 July 2005.
Ruth Chigwada-Bailey was a finalist at The British Female Inventors & Innovators Network held in February 2006 at The Guildhall, London.
